Even online real estate schools obtain state certification, but there is a huge issue facing the online education industry right now, especially in real estate. The vast majority of online real estate license schools were started about 20 years ago when online versions of real estate training first became available. Since that time, most online real estate schools have updated their courses, but hardly any of them have created brand-new courses from scratch in two decades.
What we’re left is a whole bunch of very outdated real estate schools. For example, smartphones didn’t even exist when these real estate courses became available. So, they had to update their courses to be mobile friendly and work across a large number of different devices and screen sizes. Sure, some of the “mobile versions” run ok, but most of them don’t run smoothly, will crash your device, or has several other glitches within’ the course material.

The below online real estate license schools are very upfront about whether their courses are approved in your specific state or not. These courses are also approved in most states so it shouldn’t be a problem, but make sure you double check that they are indeed approved in your specific state. Colibri Real Estate
Colibri Real Estate is the online real estate training course I personally decided to sign up with. They are approved in all the big states like California, Texas, Florida, and New York, but they also cover the smaller states such as Kansas and Oklahoma. You can check a list of all the states they cover here. One of the biggest reasons I signed up for Colibri Real Estate is due to their very high student pass rate. Unfortunately, I am unable to find any current information on their user pass percentage (if you have this info please pass it along!), but at the time it was the best out of all the online real estate classes I looked into. They’ve been in business for many decades (before online real estate classes existed) and are well known in the industry. A very large number of real estate agents use Colibri Real Estate for their continuing ed requirements and brokerage courses. Of all the 3 real estate license classes listed here, Colibri Real Estate is the one I’d go with. I already used them and I’d use them again.

Mbition
Mbition is another great online real estate school to consider. Like Colibri Real Estate, they are also certified in most states, so you should be covered. You can click here to check their list of approved states. What I like about Mbition is their more personal approach to learning than most other schools. They have frequent webinars, virtual meetups, and instructors you can actually talk to and get help from along the way. It obviously isn’t as personal as a typical classroom environment, but they do offer a bit more of a personal touch with additional assistance opportunities than the vast majority of other online real estate classes, and their pricing is about the same as everyone else. They’ve also done a great job of keeping up with the changes over the past couple of decades. They’ve done things right with their mobile-friendly course versions and they have some very exciting changes coming in the future. If for some reason you don’t like Mbition, this would easily be my next recommendation.

Brightwood Real Estate Training By Kaplan
You might be familiar with Kaplan due to their hundreds of physical school locations across the country. Like my other two recommended online real estate classes, they have been in this business for decades, well before you could even study for your real estate license exam online. Due to their high number of physical courses and instructors, it is possible to get extremely personal tutoring and coaching through Kaplan which wouldn’t be possible elsewhere. Another reason I like Kaplan is because they are the only online real estate class that I know of which offers tuition assistance. If you are in between careers or simply don’t have the funds to pay for the entire course upfront, they can help make it more manageable by spreading your course fees out into lower monthly payments. While I think their online platform and user interface could use some updating, this more personable approach to online real estate training as well as the positive feedback I’ve received about Kaplan easily makes this my 3rd pick if you don’t like my first two choices.
