Availability

Considering availability, Kaplan Real Estate School has an obvious advantage, serving 26 states in total over the 13 that AceableAgent has.

Some of AceableAgent’s courses are also made possible through their partnership with Kaplan - this includes pre-licensing courses in Arizona and Tennessee, Texas’ SAE, and Continuing Education package in New York.

That said, you can be sure that all AceableAgent’s available courses are state-approved and can satisfy state requirements.

That is not the case with Kaplan, which is why you will have to make sure if their course in your state is approved or not. (If not approved, you have to ask special permission from your local Real Estate Commission before taking the course.)

Course Options

When it comes to course options, you’ll find that Kaplan also offers more variety as they have pre-licensing courses, exam prep, continuing education, and even post-licensing courses.

What’s more, Kaplan Real Estate School offers its courses in several packages to accommodate all types of budgets.

In some states, you’ll get a chance to choose an all-text-based course option or a Livestream class. The Livestream class will enable you to participate in study groups and enjoy live connections with classmates and instructors.

Meanwhile, with AceableAgent, you get to purchase a complete package for every single course. No add ons, no extra fees — it’s straightforward selling at its best.

For their non-Kaplan assisted programs, you can learn at your own pace with their PDF correspondence course or mobile app course. Plus you can guarantee an expert support service when you need it 7 days a week!

Pricing

When it comes to pricing, I’d say that both schools are on the more expensive side - with both starting prices just a little below $200 and could rise to around $500 to $600.

Kaplan offers more courses and packages to accommodate different budgets. However, you might need to pay for extra add ons.

On the other hand, Aceableagent offers packages with no extra or hidden fees. What you see is what you get. This fixed amount includes all course offers in one complete package.

AceableAgent also offers regular discounts (up to 7% to 25%), whereas you can hardly spot a course on sale on Kaplan's website.

One more thing. AceableAgent offers an Ace the Test Guarantee - this means that if you take the state licensing example three times without passing, you get your money back. (With the school’s high passing rate, though, that’s not likely going to happen.)

User Experience

In terms of user experience, there are no second thoughts — AceableAgent is my choice here. Will it be yours?

AceableAgent vs Kaplan Which Online Real Estate School is Better Aceable Agent

Let’s see.

With AceableAgent’s unique app, you’ll hardly get to experience any annoying bugs or glitches that hinder your learning experience.

Using the app, their lessons are very neat and easy to read. You can tap the screen once to turn the page so you don’t have to keep scrolling down.

What’s more, you can download the app on your phone from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

You can also access AceableAgent on iPhone, Android, or your laptop at any time, anywhere via a web browser. You can log in or out as needed and your progress always saves.

On the other hand, even if Kaplan’s website is well organized and easy to follow, it gets a bit annoying since you have to be directed to different landing pages. It doesn’t help that it takes more than three seconds for a page to load.

Features

AceablAgent offers easy-to-navigate lessons and educational videos. When you start the course, you’ll be welcomed by their lively and friendly online instructors.

Although pre-recorded, their lessons are hardly boring. They always aim to explain complex real estate concepts in a fun and interesting approach, keeping you engaged throughout the learning process.

Also, AceableAgent has Contract Workshops at the end of their courses, which are very helpful since it gives students some hands-on training in filling out real estate contracts. You’ll get to experience engaging video content, graphics, and math workshops throughout their courses as well.

Meanwhile, Kaplan Real Estate School also has a lot of features in store for you.

For example, PDF textbooks and workbooks are included in their basic course package (for some states). They have exam prep questions, too, that you can take as many times as you need to help you in preparing for your exam.

Since Kaplan gives you an option to choose the type of learning experience you want, you can enjoy an online study group, alongside live instructor discussions if you choose their live classes.

Reviews

When it comes to reviews, AceableAgent received a 4.9 excellent rating out of over 3908 reviews from TrustPilot, while Kaplan got 4.2 out of 5 (less than 1000 reviews).

AceableAgent’s students love how their course makes learning easy and manageable. They say that they offer very user-friendly courses with great resources. Here is one review from a satisfied student:

Kaplan’s students are very thankful for their very accommodating customer service support. Most of their positive reviews come from students who took their OnDemand courses.

Alternatives

If you still want to check out other real estate courses available in your state, here are some notable online real estate schools that are also worth looking at:

MbtionToLearn is a great choice if you find it difficult to understand real estate calculations and formulas.

Depending on your state, you may have an option for an add-on called “MathMaster” when you avail of your pre-licensing package. This tool serves as an additional resource in harnessing your mathematical skills to become a successful real estate agent.

Meanwhile, Colibri Real Estate and McKissock Learning work in partnership to provide quality pre-licensing (Colibri Real Estate) and Continuing Education (McKissock) courses at a very affordable price. (Their course prices are a lot cheaper compared to AceableAgent and Kaplan.)

Lastly, The CE Shop is another recommended online real estate school if you are looking for a one-stop shop for all your real estate education needs.

They have Pre-Licensing, Exam Prep, Post-Licensing, and Continuing Education courses available. So if you want to take them all from one school, you might want to check The CE Shop, too.

Conclusion

While AceableAgent appeals to those who are looking for more interactive classes, Kaplan's market will mostly be made up of those who are looking for learning style flexibility.

I hope this school comparison was able to help you somehow.

AceableAgent and Kaplan Real Estate School are both good choices. The better one is just a matter of which school offers what you need at the moment.
