Availability

Unfortunately, both AYPO and Allied Schools offer very limited availability — only a select few states can avail of their pre-licensing courses.

As we saw, AYPO is available in 6 states (AL, FL, MI, NY, OR, TX). As for Allied Schools, it only caters to California.

That said, AYPO puts more focus on continuing education. So if you’re looking to renew your real estate license, you’ll be happy to know that AYPO is available in 45 states plus DC.

Course Options

What’s great is that both AYPO and Allied Schools can help you with all your real estate education needs — from pre-licensing to exam prep to continuing education. Allied Schools even offers an additional license upgrade.

Now, AYPO offers 2-3 pre-licensing packages, depending on the state.

Basic packages cover all the minimum requirements, such as the number of coursework hours, coverage of topics, and the program certification in the end.

If you avail of its Premium package, you’ll get additional learning resources such as textbooks in PDF or hardbound copies, extra learning hours, exam test trials, and many short tests.

As for Allied Schools, it offers 2 formats – self-paced and Livestream.

The basic self-paced plan includes the necessary courses, a downloadable e-book, several practice exams, and access to live instructors.

If you want, you can go for its higher-tier plans for additional exam videos, digital flashcards, a real estate e-dictionary, and a Pass or Don’t Pay guarantee.

Livestream plans all have the same price. The difference is the live class scheduling.

Of course, you also get all courses required, instructor support, practice exams, cram videos, a hard copy of the textbook, and a Pass or Don’t Pay guarantee.

User Experience

With AYPO, you can expect straightforward and easy-to-understand lessons. If you’re not someone that likes fancy bells and whistles, this is the perfect user experience for you.

AYPO Real Estate vs. Allied Schools

But if you need a more visual and interactive platform, you will be disappointed in AYPO.

Allied Schools is a bit more interactive. Throughout the lessons, you’ll come across sample images and videos to illustrate some points.

That said, some students say it’s a bit more text-heavy. So be prepared to read a lot.

But that doesn’t mean that it isn’t easy to understand or navigate. You can be sure that Allied Schools make it simple for you.

Plus, you will hardly experience any bugs or glitches.

Pricing

Both AYPO Real Estate and Allied Schools offer some of the most affordable online real estate courses out there.

Here are AYPO Real Estate’s prices for pre-licensing packages:

State Basic Deluxe Premium:
Alabama $260 $339
Florida:  $80 $199
Michigan $189 $209
New York $89

Texas $149 $199 $249

And here are Allied Schools’ pricing for its pre-licensing packages:

State Self-Paced LiveStream
California Basic – $199Deluxe – 299Premium – 399 $499

Reviews

As expected, there are mixed reviews about AYPO Real Estate’s simplicity.

Some students preferred how straightforward the lessons were, while others complained about the limited interaction. Also, they didn’t like that customer support is only available for those who avail of the Deluxe packages.

But one thing they did find helpful at the end of the program was the checklists for job application requirements.

For Allied Schools, previous students praised the exceptional customer support. They say it was very easy to reach support all days of the week, whether it was via phone call, email, or online chat.

However, a big downside was the limitation to download all learning materials used throughout the program. They had to pay an additional fee to get access to it offline.

Features

Here are some features from AYPO Real Estate:

  • Comes with official certificates – When you finish your courses, you can present the certificate to show proof that you completed the real estate education requirements for your state.
  • AYPO $1000 Real Estate Scholarship – Real Estate education can be pricey, especially if one wants all the learning materials from their packages. To give students a chance for learning, AYPO offers a $1000 Real Estate Scholarship to select individuals.

And here are the special features of Allied Schools:

  • Livestream format is available – If reading long chapters is not your preferred method, then you can opt to join the Livestream classes. Here you get to interact with your instructor and classmates.
  • Spanish training – We love inclusivity! Allied Schools caters to California, which has a big population of Spanish speakers. So it only makes sense that it offers Spanish lessons, too.

The Verdict

And that was your complete AYPO Real Estate vs Allied Schools comparison review.

Overall, both schools promise quality education for an affordable price.

So choosing between AYPO Real Estate and Allied Schools will solely depend on your preferred way of learning and the state that you live in.

If you want straightforward lessons, AYPO Real Estate is the go-to school.

If you want real-time sessions, then Allied Schools is your guy.
