McKissock

Online Real Estate in Nebraska for Continuing Education McKissock

If you’re looking for an online school that’s got experience on its side, you can’t do better than McKissock. Not only has it been in business since the early 90s, but it’s also part of a well-known real estate brand.

McKissock’s strength lies in its Continuing Education courses – these are available in all 50 states, plus the District of Columbia. It’s no surprise that they’ve had more than 2 million students take their course.

In Nebraska, McKissock offers two CE packages. Both fulfill the required 6 hours of “R” courses, but only the 18-Hour Renewal Package lets you earn the full credits needed for renewal.

If you choose the 12-Hour Package, you’ll need 6 more hours' worth of coursework. But this isn’t a problem because you can choose from 25 individual courses in McKissock’s menu.

If you’re adding electives, make sure you don’t get anything you’ve taken in the previous renewal cycle – otherwise, you won’t earn credits for that.

Another option is to access all CE courses available in Nebraska by choosing McKissock CE Plus Membership.

It proves to be the best value-for-money because you get additional coaching tools, job aids, and webinars on top of the CE programs.

If you prefer to build your own bundle, McKissock may be the school for you.

Online Real Estate in Nebraska for Continuing Education Mbition

Previously known as OnCourse Learning, Mbition has over fifteen years of experience. Their Continuing Education courses are 100% self-paced. You can go through the necessary coursework when it works for your schedule.

Mbition ensures their content is regularly updated. It means that you’ll have highly applicable content during your next renewal cycle.

With 24 individual Continuing Education courses to choose from, you can decide which ones you want to take for your license renewal requirements.

A more convenient route, however, is to avail of their bundled courses. The only thing you need to be mindful of is whether you’ve taken any of these within the last four years.

You’ll enjoy Mbition’s content, with its short lessons and interactive quizzes. They designed their materials to create a more enjoyable experience as you complete your Continuing Education requirements.

Online Real Estate in Nebraska for Continuing Education AYPO

AYPO Real Estate is operated by At Your Pace Online, which provides professional training to various industries. As their name implies, their courses are 100% self-paced, giving you the freedom to control how to go about your coursework.

Their materials are compatible with various devices, so you’re not limited to studying in front of your computer.

Compared to other online real estate schools, you may find the courses and packages of AYPO Real Estate to be few. However, these have above-average reviews – all earning ratings above 4.0 from multiple submissions.

One of their most popular packages earns you 18 hours, allowing you to collect the credits you need for your license renewal for a price of a little under $120.

There are courses, however, that you can purchase individually. Each topic costs anywhere from roughly $30 to around $90.

Once you complete the program, a certificate of completion will be made available to you.

Here’s a quick walkthrough video you can watch:

Online Real Estate in Nebraska for Continuing Education VanEd

VanEd’s instructors are all real estate professionals, bringing a healthy dose of practical techniques on top of the foundational concepts. It produces real estate professionals with more book knowledge and street smarts – a winning combination in the industry.

Their courses are accessible all day through the device of your choice. This creates a world of flexibility for real estate agents with busy schedules looking to complete their license renewal requirements in Nebraska.

You can choose between their four packages for CE courses. The costs vary, depending on the number of hours each package credits – priced around under $60 (discounted) up to a little of $130 (18-hour package).

Regardless of which you choose, you’re guaranteed the necessary six hours of “R” courses.

VanEd also has a menu of 25 individual courses of varying difficulty levels. Each cost from almost $30 to just under $200, depending on how many credit hours it earns you.

VanEd put a lot of effort into content development, integrating interactive activities such as online field trips and vocabulary-matching exercises.

As one of the largest online real estate schools in the country, it’s certainly one to consider.

Online Real Estate in Nebraska for Continuing Education The CE Shop

The CE Shop’s learning platform, called LEAP 2.0, allows students an engaging experience by using interactive content and providing tailored feedback.

Their courses are also broken down into lessons that focus on a single topic. This protects you from information overload and lets you retain it more efficiently.

You can get a glimpse of how it all works before purchasing anything in this video:

All of The CE Shop’s packages have six hours of “R” courses.

Two 18-hour packages fulfill all of Nebraska’s requirements for license renewal. There’s also a 12-hour option that you may prefer. Or you can simply build your own curriculum by selecting individual courses from their catalog.

No individual course costs more than $30, while packages are priced between right under $90 to a little over $130.

Nebraska Online Real Estate Continuing Education FAQs

What are the requirements for license renewal in Nebraska?

To renew your license you must finish 18 hours of CE courses.

Out of those 18 hours, twelve are electives, while six must be from a list of identified designated subject matters.

Here is where it gets a bit complicated. In Nebraska, you cannot retake a course unless at least four years have passed.

The “R” courses – appropriately named as their course numbers all end with the letter – are exceptions. These can be duplicated but not within the same renewal cycle.

A good practice is to keep track of the CE courses that you’ve taken so you don’t accidentally put in time and money in a class that won’t earn you credit.

What are “R” Courses?

These are courses in designated subject matters as determined by the Nebraska Real Estate Commission. Each is assigned a four-digit course content number followed by the letter R (i.e. #0971R).

Currently, designated subject matters include the following:

  • Full or partial studies of NE License Law
  • NE Landlord/Tenant Act
  • Trust Account Maintenance specific to the NREC’ manual
  • Contracts
  • Finance

You can see the complete list here.

How often do you need to have your license renewed in Nebraska?

You need to renew your real estate license in Nebraska every two years. Applications must be submitted, and renewal fees must be paid to the Nebraska Real Estate Commission by November 30th of your renewal year.

Conclusion

Being in real estate can be a lucrative profession.

But to remain successful, you have to keep up with changes in the industry and the market. And, of course, you have to hold on to your real estate license.

Any of the schools on this list can help you with that.

However, every online real estate school is different. You must choose the one that fits YOU the best.

Your preferences should always come into play. After all, you’ll be the one going through the coursework, so it’s best to make sure the school you choose makes it worth your while.
