What requirements do I need to become an apprentice appraiser in North Dakota?
Those aiming to become apprentice appraisers in North Dakota need to successfully complete 75 hours of real estate qualifying education from a Board-approved institution. These 75 hours must cover the required core curriculum as necessitated by the Appraisal Qualifications Board of The Appraisal Foundation.
Coverage must include a minimum of the following:
- 30 hours of basic appraisal principles
- 30 hours of basic appraisal procedures
- 15Hour National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice Course or equivalent
Note: Applicants must be able to complete their apprenticeship and required class hours within a five-year period immediately after submitting their permit application.
