When it comes to real estate education, you probably always hear about Colibri Real Estate

And yes, that includes exam prep.

And when you’re used to all that, you gain confidence when you enter the exam room.

They also have a Pass or Don’t Pay Guarantee.

This guarantee gives your money back if you fail to pass your Missouri Real Estate Exam on the first try, given you scored at least 80% on the Progress and Final Exams and took the exam within 30 days.

If you still have some questions, we’ve got you covered. We’re going to answer the most frequently asked questions about exam prep and the Missouri Real Estate Exam.

How do I get a real estate license in Missouri?

The first step in getting your license is to complete 72 hours of pre-licensing education, including:

  • 48-hour Salesperson Pre-Examination Course
  • 24-hour Missouri Real Estate Practice (MREP) Course.

After completing the 72 hours, you must meet the Missouri Real Estate Commission’s (MREC) requirement of passing the course final exam with a score of at least 75% or higher.

Then, you can schedule your Missouri Real Estate Exam online. You must take and pass both the state and national portions at a PSI Testing Center.

Once you’ve passed and completed your exam, you will need to submit fingerprints through IDEMIA (IdentoGO), along with completing the Missouri state and federal criminal history background check.

Finally, when applying for a license, you can get it through the Missouri Division of Professional Registration (MDPR), which is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

It takes an average of 3 to 5 months to get your real estate license in Missouri.

How much is the Missouri Real Estate Exam?

The Missouri Salesperson Exam costs $62 and can be paid directly to the PSI through credit cards, cashier’s checks, or money orders. The registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

How many questions are in the Missouri Real Estate Exam?

The Missouri Real Estate Exam consists of 140 questions. These are all multiple-choice.

100 questions are for the national portion, while the state portion has 40 questions. You will be given 4 hours to complete the entire exam.

To pass, you need at least 70 correct answers for the national portion and at least 30 correct answers for the Missouri portion.

What if I fail the Missouri Real Estate Exam?

If you are unable to pass the real estate exam, you may reapply and make another appointment with the Missouri Real Estate Commission. There are no limits to how many times you can retake the exam.
