AceableAgent is the best real estate school online-based purely on student pass rates. Unfortunately, this is a newer real estate school and has only been approved in the state of Texas so far. If you do live in Texas, you’re very fortunate as nobody even comes close to the quality instruction that AceableAgent provides.
The problem that most real estate schools online have is their outdatedness. Most online real estate schools were created more than 10 years ago, and while it’s usually good to go with experienced companies, in this case, it’s sort of the opposite. These older online real estate schools have been patched up and updated over the years, but they are still extremely outdated.
AceableAgent works the best on mobile devices and they deliver the content through multiple interactive formats that really help increase user retention rates. They also have the best customer service around and offer a guarantee that you will pass your real estate license exam.

Brightwood Real Estate Education by Kaplan has been a very popular real estate school online since online training became available. In fact, they’ve been around for 40 years and still offer classroom-based real estate courses.
Due to Brightwood and Kaplan having a physical presence in all 50 states, they tend to have the best instructors. Brightwood Real Estate by Kaplan claims they have the most experienced instructors including industry leaders, real estate authors, and other high-end real estate pros. In addition to having top-notch instructors, Brightwood allows you to actually have phone calls with your dedicated instructor. Most real estate schools online only allow you to email your instructor, which can get a bit frustrating as wait times can take 24 hours to get a response.
Brightwood does appear to be a little more expensive than other online real estate schools, but with a pass rate over 80%, many students find that this extra price is worth it, especially with a more personalized approach to instructors. Ironically, though, this is perhaps the best real estate school online for those on a budget as it is one of the few online real estate schools to offer tuition assistance and payment plans. Your course also comes with home study materials which is nice if you’re old-fashioned like me and enjoy taking notes on physical paper.
While Brightwood isn’t the most advanced real estate school online, they do offer content in multiple formats including text and video. Sadly, this is much more than what can be said about most other real estate schools. Like any other high quality real estate school online, Brightwood can be taken anytime and from anywhere with an internet connection.
One surprising aspect of Brightwood is they don’t offer much in the way of a guarantee that you’ll pass your real estate license exam, but with their very high success rate, you shouldn’t need to worry too much about that. This truly is one of the best real estate schools online.
Colibri Real Estate – 61.56% Pass Rate

This is the most popular online real estate school based on how many students sign up. They’ve been in business for over 20 years and are approved in 25 states which is much more than most real estate schools online.
Even though it’s not quite as high as some of the other reviews of real estate schools online that I’ve posted here, their student pass rate is still above the industry average at 71%. I think it’s a bit lower than some of the other schools because this course isn’t quite as interactive as the others and is a little bit more outdated.
However, they are confident that you’ll pass your real estate license exam. If you don’t pass your real estate licensing exam on the first try, they will give you your money back.
Fortunately, I did not need to get my money back as I was able to pass on the first try after going through Colibri Real Estate. I’m not the only one either. More than 350,000 people have received their real estate license after going through Colibri Real Estate.
Like most other high-quality real estate schools online, Colibri Real Estate gives you access to an instructor via email as well as during live Q&A sessions that you share with other students. There are also student resources and message boards so you can ask questions to others going through the training with you.
They also have what is called the Exam Prep Master which helped me out immensely. They basically have state-specific tests so that you can practice before your actual real estate exam. These state-specific exams will be in the same format as your actual test will be, and will ask questions very similar to what you’ll see on the state exam. As someone who personally took this course, I can highly recommend it.
At Your Pace Online (AYPO) - 70.93% Pass Rate
AYPO is another top online real estate school with a high pass rate.
However, it is only available in — Alabama, Florida, Michigan, New York, Oregon, and Texas. So if you aren’t from these states, then this isn’t the school for you.

As far as student pass rates are concerned, taking a real estate school online does appear to be a better option than taking a traditional real estate school in a classroom. However, this will obviously depend on your specific learning style. Some students will learn much better in a physical classroom setting where they can ask questions to instructors, network with other students, set up study groups, etc.
However, most of us who enter the real estate career field are doing so as a second career. We already have jobs and families at home to take care of in addition to all the other “life stuff” that keeps us so busy.
