And how can you do that?

Study, of course!

On top of that, you need to make sure that the school you attend only offers the best quality education in the city.

Well, that’s why we’re here.

We’re going to review the best real estate schools in Las Vegas, NV. We’re going to mention both online and in-person schools, so there’s something for everyone.

Best Online Real Estate Schools in Las Vegas, NV

If you’re looking for a reliable online real estate school, here are the 4 best ones available in the state:

Let’s see what each one has to offer.

The CE Shop

Best Real Estate Schools in Las Vegas, NV The CE Shop

Michael McAllister founded The CE Shop 16 years ago. As of today, it provides real estate courses in nearly every state.

If you’re in Las Vegas, you’re in luck! You can get your pre-licensing, exam prep, and continuing education courses all in one stop.

It delivers all its courses through its progressive learning platform called LEAP. If you’re looking for a more participative study experience, this will be a perfect match for you.

Activities like matching terms and definitions, true or false scenarios, and interactive images help you connect concepts to real-life situations. In turn, it increases information retention.

The CE Shop offers four pre-licensing packages, each with more features than the previous:

  • The Course Only — as the name implies, all you get is the 120-hour pre-licensing content
  • Standard Package — adds the Exam Prep Edge tool
  • Value Package — adds business-building courses
  • Premium Package — includes 12 hours of Continuing Education courses

Colibri Real Estate

Colibri Real Estate review featured image

If there’s one school we can’t recommend enough, it’s Colibri Real Estate – the leading online school in the real estate industry.

The way their courses are formatted explains the ‘express’ in their name. Most of the content is text, which includes a couple of images and illustrations.

Because you don’t have to go through dragging videos, you can go through the content faster. The downside is it may become a bit boring after a while.

So if you’re the type who does well with a lot of reading material, this won’t be a problem. But if you don’t like reading, maybe this isn’t the school for you.

But what really stands out is their plentiful resources. Here are the 4 pre-licensing packages you can choose from:

  • The Basics — just the course.
  • Exam Preparation — the course, plus the exam prep tool
  • Exam Preparation Plus — includes access to live Q&A sessions with an instructor
  • Ultimate Learning — everything in the Exam Preparation Plus package, plus a 1-year professional development membership through McKissock

Because it is 100% self-paced, it’s easy to put it off until you need to cram. Well, to counter that, you can set a goal regarding when you want to finish the coursework to avoid procrastinating. You can track your progress in two ways: one is how far you’ve been able to complete, the other shows where you should be if you want to hit your goal.

Key Realty School

Key Realty School

Unlike other schools on our list, Key Realty School only caters to Nevada. This means they know the ins and outs of real estate in the state very well.

Not only that, it offers a variety of courses, making it a one-stop-shop for your educational requirements.

The other thing that sets it apart is it offers courses in various formats. You can choose to complete the required 120-hour pre-licensing coursework in-person, as a home study program, or on an online platform.

If you go with the online option, you’ll receive log-in credentials to access their portal. There, you can go through the coursework. It doesn’t provide you with any materials because everything is in their portal.

Key Realty’s course comes with audio files, videos of classroom lessons, and practice exams. It’s everything you need to satisfy requirements and prepare for the state exam!

OnlineEd

Another solid option among online real estate providers is OnlineEd. Known for its extensive resources and economic packages, OnlineEd is a well-known and well-established name in the real estate school industry giving you all the more reason to join.

All the above are available at the fantastic price of $254.000

Now, let us move on to the ratings. It’s one thing to praise a provider for its features and resources, but what customers said is matters far more. According to polls and surveys from major websites such as trustpilot.com and indeed.com, customers have given OnlineEd an average rating of 4.5 stars and above.

OnlineEd has proved why it’s one of the best providers currently available on the market. You can rest assured that if you join, you’ll have a big chance to pass the exam, acquire licensure, and see your dreams of becoming a successful real estate agent come to reality.

FAQs

How many hours of real estate courses are required in Nevada?

The real estate educational requirement varies, depending on where you are in your career.

If you’re in the process of getting your real estate license, everything begins with a pre-licensing course. As of October 1, 2021, you need to complete 120 hours.

If you’re an experienced real estate professional, you need to renew your license every two years. In Las Vegas, the Continuing Education requirements change, depending on your renewal date.

If your license expires on or before September 30, you need 24 CE hours. You can only take 12 online.

If you need to renew it on or after October 31, the required CE hours increases to 36. You can only take 18 online.

Is online real estate school less stressful?

The process of getting your license or having it renewed is the same regardless of whether you take your real estate education online or in person.

You still have to complete the required number of hours. You’ll still have to pass your school’s final exam as well as the state exam.

There are aspects of online education that help you avoid additional stress, though. There’s no pressure from changing your activities to fit a specific schedule since programs are self-paced. You also don’t need to learn the content at the same rate as your peers.

What’s more, online real estate classes offer flexibility in terms of location. You don’t need to travel to an actual venue — as long as your device has an internet connection,  you can go through the coursework no matter where you are.

How can I get support if I take everything online?

They say that if you’re a self-starter and driven, online real estate school works for you. But even the most self-motivated individual may run into challenges.

When you do, you don’t have to go through it alone. Online real estate schools ensure you have support as you go through their courses. For pre-licensing, you can usually reach out to instructions if there are concepts you need to clarify.

You won’t get their response as fast as if you had attended class in person, but it will come. Just because you take the content at your own pace, at your own time, it doesn’t mean you need to go through it entirely alone.

Final Words

Having the correct foundation can be a tremendous help in your real estate career. It’s what makes finding the right real estate school so crucial.

That said, the only person who can determine this is you. People have different preferences, so you’ll have to consider yours and match them to what each school can offer.

And with our list, you can trust that you’ll be in good hands.

Good luck!
