Now, let’s take an in-depth look at each of these factors.

Colibri Real Estate specializes in pre-licensing. So it’s no wonder it’s available in several states across the country. This is great as you are more likely to be able to complete your education with this school.

AYPO, on the other hand, is very limited, only offering its pre-licensing packages to 6 states.

However, AYPO makes up for this by offering its continuing education (CE) packages to over 40 states. So if you are in a situation where you already have a real estate license and need to renew it, AYPO may be the better option.

NOTE: Colibri Real Estate and AYPO are always adding new states to their roster. So it’s best to check their websites and see if your state is already available.

Course Options

Colibri Real Estate partners with its sister companies to provide all your real estate education needs — from pre-licensing, post-licensing, and continuing education, to license upgrades. What’s more, it also offers comprehensive exam prep.

As for its pre-licensing packages, most states can choose from 4 packages, namely:

  • The Basics
  • Exam Preparation
  • Exam Preparation Plus
  • Ultimate Learning

With The Basics, you get the bare minimum to fulfill requirements and pass the test, with no extra bells and whistles.

Opposite of that, the higher package gives you extensive support and resources. You can expect Q&A sessions, Exam Cram Webinar, Pass or Don’t Pay guarantee, a real estate dictionary, 1-year of professional development, and so much more.

Additionally, Colibri Real Estate offers hybrid packages to some states. This combines online learning with a classroom environment, thanks to an instructor-led Live Stream session.

Now let’s move on to AYPO.

This school offers pre-licensing, exam prep, and continuing education.

For most states, it has 2 package options for pre-licensing. You can choose either a standard or deluxe package.

The standard option comes with the basics to fulfill requirements and ace the test. What makes it stand out is that this already comes with a state exam prep.

The Deluxe takes it up a notch with unlimited practice test attempts, a full exam prep program, and a downloadable PDF if you’re looking to learn offline.

But, as we mentioned, AYPO focuses more on continuing education. Here, you will find 2 to 3 packages or a few individual courses.

User Experience

Colibri Real Estate has invested so much to ensure you get the best experience. Over its many years of experience, it has worked out how to do just that.

Rarely do you see students complain about bugs or site crashes.

Customer support is also far above the competition, with 24/7 live chat to answer all your queries and concerns.

What about the lessons?

It’s very straightforward and well-organized. However, some students wished it was a bit more interactive.

As for AYPO, it’s very easy to use. The curriculum is well-organized and interactive, too.

But, it experiences a few technical errors and poor page formatting. Don’t worry, though, this only happens sometimes.

The more you pay, the more you get.

This is true for both Colibri Real Estate and AYPO.

While Colibri Real Estate’s The Basics package lives up to its name, the Ultimate Learning plan goes well beyond what other online course providers include in their plans.

Arguably the biggest feature you get is the Pass or Don’t Pay guarantee. This shows you how confident Colibri Real Estate is with its lessons.

AYPO stands out with its interactive features. Throughout the lessons, you’ll come across videos, images, and quizzes to help jazz things up, keeping you engaged and ready to learn.

And, as we mentioned, even its cheapest package comes with a State Exam Prep, so you can be ready to ace that licensing exam.

When looking for an online real estate school, reviews are great sources to look into.

With that in mind, here is a review of Colibri Real Estate:

‘‘Great way for active professionals to gain their real estate license while still holding down a job. The platform is very informative and easy to use. They allow you six months to complete your course, on your own time. The reps are very helpful if you have any questions, and you are assigned a teacher for specific real estate questions. Great pricing as well.’’

And here is a review of AYPO:

‘‘I liked that there were many quizzes to make sure you were remembering the material as you went along. The PDF file was very helpful. That said, after taking each cumulative test, it doesn’t tell you what questions you got wrong or what the correct answers were. This made studying very difficult.’’

Want to look elsewhere?

A great school you may want to look into is AceableAgent. This school is one of the faster-growing online real estate schools in the country.

It is practically unmatched when it comes to modernity, with a sleek site UI and a ton of interactive videos and features that make learning a blast.

Additionally, the mobile app they provide is just built differently, with nearly all the features you’d get on the desktop site. This allows you to study on the go.

The Verdict

So which online real estate school is better — Colibri Real Estate or AYPO?

Well, that will depend on your situation and what you are looking for in an online real estate school.

If you need to complete your pre-licensing requirements, have easy access to a support team, and have many course options to choose from, then Colibri Real Estate might be the better one.

However, if you’re looking for a more interactive lesson, or if you need to fulfill continuing education requirements, then we suggest looking into AYPO.

The choice is all yours!
