This includes studying the mandatory 75-hour broker pre-licensing course, applying for the license, scheduling for your North Carolina real estate exam, and taking the mandatory post-licensing course.

How many times can you take the NC real estate exam? 

You have 180 days to pass the North Carolina real estate exam. 

If you fail the exam, don’t worry. You can retake it as many times as you need to before the 180 days. That said, you have to wait at least 10 days before retaking the exam, and you may have to pay for the exam fee again.

How long does it take to become a real estate agent in NC?
