If you want to become a real estate appraiser in North Carolina, there are several things you need to take care of first.

One of those things is taking an appraisal qualifying education course approved by the North Carolina Appraisal Board.

While traditional in-person training has always been the best route for many appraisers, online real estate schools have risen in popularity because of their convenience and flexibility.

So much so, that North Carolina now approves some online appraisal qualifying education.

And today, we’re going to review the best online real estate appraisal courses in North Carolina. This way, you know which online real estate schools are approved, legit, and of the best quality.

Are you ready?

Let’s go!

What are the Best Online Real Estate Appraisal Courses in North Carolina?

Here are the 4 best online real estate appraisal courses in North Carolina:

Let’s take a look at each one.

McKissock

Best Real Estate Appraisal Courses in North Carolina McKissock

McKissock is one of the leading providers of online real estate education. With over 30 years of experience under their belt, they’ve opened plenty of opportunities for a variety of real estate professionals across the United States.

With McKissock, you have the option to choose between online and virtual Livestream classes.

However, while the Livestream classes all come in a package, you’ll have to buy the individual courses if you want the online format.

What’s included in the Livestream package?

You get the mandatory 79-hour instructor-led qualifying education courses, as well as printed textbooks, Completion Certificates, education reported to the Board, and email and phone support.

As for the schedules, you can check the time and date before enrolling.

If you buy the individual online courses, it becomes a little more expensive. But with this, you get to decide when you want to study and for how long.

Besides that, you can get other resources, like non-credit webinars.

You can be sure that you’re getting more than enough with McKissock.

Dynasty School

Dynasty School has been around since 1991. They’ve been delivering high-quality distance education for over 15 years, helping thousands of professionals get the training and instruction they need to succeed in their industries.

For its appraisal courses, they offer it through eLicense School.

Now, there are several perks you can avail of with this online real estate school.

For one, you can choose to pay monthly.

This allows you to pay $100 a month until it is fully paid. So, since the package costs almost $800, you’re given 8 months to pay it all off.

The other perk is that you can get a 15% discount.

If you are applying with 2 other people (these can be your friends or even just strangers), then you can avail yourself of this great discount. Check the website for your coupon code.

The downside to this, though, is that multiple Completion Certificates will cost $20 per course.

With the package, you only get the mandatory courses. However, you can add the Supervisor-Trainee Appraisal Course, textbooks, and exam prep for an additional cost.

Appraisal Institute

Best Real Estate Appraisal Courses in North Carolina Appraisal Institute

Appraisal Institute isn’t exactly an online real estate school. Instead, it’s an organization composed of nearly 17,000 professional real estate appraisers in almost 50 countries.

They are a proponent of high-quality real estate appraisal education and are determined to advance professionalism, ethics, global standards, methodologies, and practices worldwide.

The Appraisal Institute offers 40+ courses for North Carolina appraisal trainees. Instruction is delivered completely online. Plus, you have the opportunity to discuss and build connections with other professionals through their membership platform.

The school updates its course list every month, so make sure to check their catalog every now and then to see what new resources you can take advantage of.

One thing we will say, though. It might be a bit confusing navigating their website. I mean, they don’t offer any QE packages, so you’ll have to find the courses individually.

If not online, you can even attend the Appraisal Institute North Carolina Chapter.

Hondros College

Hondros College

First established in 1981 under the name The Ohio Real Estate Preparatory School, they have managed to branch out their services and now offer courses in almost every state.

In North Carolina, they teamed up with McKissock to provide top-quality QE courses. So don’t be surprised if you’re directed to McKissock’s website.

So why go with Hondros College?

Hondros College is an actual school. If you are the type of person that doesn’t trust online schools just yet, then this will give you some assurance.

I mean, if a college partners up with an online real estate school, then surely that means it’s legit, right?
