Let’s move on to the details.

Availability

Between the 2 schools, Mbition is the more available option, catering to 21 states compared to RealEstateU’s 14 states.

Here is a list of the 21 states that Mbition offers its pre-licensing courses to:

  • Alabama
  • Arizona
  • California
  • Colorado
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Hawaii
  • Iowa
  • Louisiana
  • Michigan
  • Mississippi
  • Missouri
  • New York
  • Oregon
  • Pennsylvania
  • Tennessee
  • Texas
  • Utah
  • Virginia
  • Washington
  • Wisconsin

And here are the 14 states that have pre-licensing from RealEstateU:

  • California
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Michigan
  • Missouri
  • New York
  • North Carolina
  • Pennsylvania
  • South Carolina
  • Tennessee
  • Texas
  • Virginia
  • Washington
  • Wisconsin
  • Course Options

Mbition offers a selection of real estate course options, depending on where you are in your real estate career.

You can get your first real estate license with its pre-licensing and exam prep courses. You can renew your real estate license with its continuing education (CE) courses. You can upgrade your real estate license with the license upgrade courses.

Mbition is a school that offers all your real estate education needs.

Thankfully, RealEstateU can offer that, too. The only course option lacking is license upgrade.

However, you should know that its CE courses are only available in New York. So it’s pretty limited.

    User Experience

What students love about Mbition is that its lessons are easy to use, interactive, and simple.

There’s no need to go through complex module layouts or lengthy discussions. These are divided into easily digestible text for better comprehension.

But not all schools are perfect.

Unfortunately, some students were disappointed with the customer support. For one, you can only reach them through the phone. Plus, they aren’t that quick to respond either.

RealEstateU, on the other hand, offers a fun and quick module.

    RealEstateU

Throughout your lessons, you’ll meet bite-sized text, videos, audio recordings, infographics, and even audio transcripts. This makes it so engaging and fun.

And if you want to finish the course as soon as possible, RealEstateU offers one of the quickest modules out there. You can complete it all in just a few weeks.

Many students also noted the professionalism and experience of their instructors. Some were CPAs, attorneys, professors, and even LEED-certified ones, so you’ll have that edge in terms of learning.

But similar to Mbition, RealEstateU doesn't have real-time customer support. You have to fill up an online form or send an email.

    Pricing

    The prices differ per state.

So to make a fair comparison, let’s look at the prices for both schools’ California pre-licensing packages.

With Mbition, you have 4 packages to choose from:

    • Course Only - $129
    • Standard - $199
    • Value - $249
    • Premium - $445

As for RealEstateU, you only get 1 package:

    • Get Your Real Estate License - $149

If we’re talking cheapest of the cheap, Mbition comes out on top.

    Reviews

Mbition scored 4.2 out of 5 stars in Real Estate Schooler.

Here is one positive comment about the school:

I love the module breakdown for each subject. There's so much information to take in and retain, I feel they did a fantastic job isolating important terms along with key review questions. During section review mastery quiz, the questions only repeat if you answer them incorrectly the first time through, and will only repeat the wrong ones.. Which in my opinion is a sure fire way to make a Q/A stick with you! I'm 30 days in and 28% in. The key is to complete 2-3 modules a day to get through all of them. I'm not sure how anyone was able to sit and retain this info in a sit down class with notes??!!! Fuggettaboutit! Thumbs up and good luck to all those after the real estate journey and this helps!! Yes, to mbition! Yoshi

Creative print layouts for flash cards, otherwise, I think you nailed it! Perhaps extending the amount of time it takes to complete all 179 modules. Allowing for more flexibility for those who need more time.”

And here is one negative review:

The price was fair but thats about the only good thing about it. the info is good and informative but over repetitive

The course was way too long. You have to answer every single question twice and the course is so long. I have put in about 25 hours so far which should mean I am about 28% done but I am only about 10%. I am buying a different course because this course sucks so bad and I am very busy and don't have time to do 180 hours to get a 90 hour broker course certificates.”

RealEstateU has a lot more reviews, getting a whopping 4.5 out of 5 stars in Indeed.

Let’s see what previous students had to say about this school:

“• In depth pre-recorded lectures • Mini quizzes after almost every section helped reiterate the important information needed for the unit exams • Unit exams covered a lot of the information learned in the chapters Overall, Real Estate U was extremely helpful in me achieving my certification.”

    Here’s another one:

“The online course was helpful and informative, the hands on training was also helpful. The california state license board was harder then I expected, but was very happy I passed. I look forward to more hands on training, so that I can become an exceptional realtor.”

Of course, not to keep out the less-than-satisfied reviews:

“The course is well planned and audio lessons are clear and crisp. There is flexibility to listen anytime. Tina (their coordinator) responds promptly. Some of the audio lessons are fantastic!!! The audio lessons don’t come with subtitles or commentary for you to refer back to. The content is outdated and few questions have incorrect answers. You do need to supplement your lessons with google guru many times. The package meets state required 180 hour requirement but by itself is inadequate to pass the Texas State exam and you need to buy a separate package for that so build that additional 54$ into your cost!”

    Features

Mbition takes pride in the following features:

    • FREE 5-Day Trial. Mbition understands that several hundred dollars are not cheap. To give its students a preview of the Mbition experience and for them to decide if this is the school for them, they can take advantage of the 5-day trial period.
    • Pass or No Pay Guarantee. If you don’t pass your real estate exam on your first try, Mbition gives you a full refund of your package rate.
    • MathMaster Course. Struggling with real estate math? Then go for Mbition’s Silver or Platinum packages to get the MathMaster course. This gives you an in-depth review of all real estate formulas and concepts, and in the end, you get the ebook and the question bank for further exam prep.

RealEstateU stands out for these features:

    • Audio Lessons. If you are an auditory learner, or you want to multitask, you can simply listen in on your lessons. The audio is very clear and crisp, too, so you won’t have to strain your ears to understand.
    • Accessible anywhere, anytime. Whatever device you’re using, you can easily access RealEstateU. And it’s not just having access to the site, it’s also seeing the materials properly fit the size of your screen. Now, this makes it all the more convenient!
    • Final Exam in all courses. To get a gauge of how well you understood and retained from the program, you will need to take a final exam! Consider this part of your exam prep!
    • 30-day refund policy. If you haven’t studied half of the course within 30 days, then you can still get a refund from RealEstateU if not satisfied. This is also helpful for students that get unexpected delays, sudden emergencies, and change of plans in getting their licenses.
