AceableAgent is by far the best online real estate school you can take in New York. In most cases, I recommend courses that have been around for a while, but the opposite is true with AceableAgent. Even though this is my top recommendation, this is the newest online real estate course to be approved in New York State. So, why do I recommend them over the others?
There’s a huge problem plaguing the online real estate training industry right now. That issue is how nearly all of the courses are insanely outdated. Most online real estate programs were created in the early 2000s and have barely been updated since that time. The majority of the programs out there consist of page after page of plain text, followed by a quiz you must pass before you can continue on. Heck, some of the most popular online real estate courses in New York aren’t even mobile-friendly, so if you want to take the course on the go from your smartphone, you’re out of luck.

Colibri Real Estate is the online real estate school I personally used when I was studying for my real estate license. They offer several different packages to fit your specific needs. For example, when I signed up, I opted to receive the physical textbooks in addition to the online course material. I like to take notes and have a physical copy that I can hold onto, but if you don’t really care about that, you can save a few bucks with a lower package.
Colibri Real Estate has been in business since 2004 and has grown into one of the largest online real estate license courses available. They have had more than a quarter-million students obtain their real estate license and growing.
I’m not going to pretend this was the most fun thing to go through, but that’s just the nature of studying for a real estate license. Are New York Online Real Estate Schools Better Than Classroom Courses?
Whether you want to take your New York online real estate school online or in a traditional classroom-based environment is up to your own personal preference. While it’s true that many people learn better in a physical classroom, the opposite could be said for most of us these days. Independent learning has never been easier with online education.
The biggest benefit, perhaps, to taking your New York real estate school online is the flexibility. Many of us decided to get into real estate as a second profession. If you already have a job, and just want to study for your license part-time when you can, taking your required classroom hours online is the way to go.
If, on the other hand, you can dedicate a certain amount of time each week to show up to a physical classroom, you may enjoy having easy access to a physical instructor as well as being able to bounce questions off of fellow students, set up study groups, etc. These online real estate license schools have done a pretty good job of making these benefits virtual, but sometimes there just is no replacement for physical interactions.
There really is no right or wrong answer here and it is mostly a personal decision. I myself much prefer studying independently, but there is nothing wrong with going the traditional route and attending a classroom-based course instead.
